Here you will find everything you need to know to get ready for the event.
If you have never been to a Mexican wedding before, you're in for a fun time! If it's not your first rodeo, enséñales a los gringos como divertirse.

Shuttles will pick up guests at the hotels and go directly to the venue. If you aren't taking a shuttle, please plan for a designated driver.
The ceremony begins promptly at 5:00 PM. We kindly ask that guests are seated a few minutes early.
Crafted cocktails and light bites in the courtyard, right after the ceremony. Until 6:30 PM.
Dinner, dancing, and celebrating until 3:00 AM.
Return shuttles start at 10:00 PM and run regularly until 3:00 AM. Feel free to leave whenever you're ready.
The Venue
Magnalia
The dress code for women is formal. This includes a floor-length dress. Feel free to wear fun colors, but please avoid white.
The dress code for men is formal. This includes a suit and tie.
Both hotels are in San Pedro, about a 5-minute walk from each other, and both are shuttle pickup points on the wedding day. They are both near Parque Arboleda, which should have everything you need during your stay, including a few of the restaurants we recommend.

Sinaloan Style Seafood | Lunch & Dinner
We highly recommend this spot if you like fresh seafood. It was originally started in Sinaloa, the area in México where both of Yadel's parents grew up. A Sunday lunch staple of the Zazueta family that Jack and Yadel go to every time they are in town. We recommend trying their aguachile, a dish Jack has become obsessed with and learned to create himself, and the volcán dulce de leche.

Bakery & Cafe | Breakfast & Lunch
One of our favorite places to grab coffee, fresh pastries, and sandwiches. Located conveniently in Parque Arboleda, right next to the JW Marriott. We recommend trying the empanada de guayaba or a concha.

Chilaquiles | Breakfast
Try this spot for a classic Mexican breakfast: chilaquiles. Chilaquiles are fried tortilla chips simmered in red or green salsa and topped with things like eggs, chicharrón, crema, and cheese. Here you can build your own chilaquiles by choosing your tortilla chips, protein, salsa, and toppings. We recommend adding panela, going with the 'dorado y crujiente' chips (fried, not baked), and trying the café de olla.

Tacos | Lunch & Dinner
One of our favorite taco spots in Monterrey and its Mexico City locations has a Michelin Bib Gourmand award. We recommend trying the Trompo Orden Mixta, which is three different styles of Trompo tacos. Yadel's Mom and Dad recommend the Tijuanita, a carne asada taco with a cheese crust, avocado, and crispy shredded potato.

Steakhouse | Lunch & Dinner
We recommend this spot if you love a great steakhouse. It's an Argentine-style parrilla where the meat is grilled over mesquite wood, and the portions are generous. Yadel's family always orders the queso gratinado con chorizo norteño and the ensalada “El Gaucho” to share.

Chilaquiles & More | Breakfast
Casa Benell is a favorite spot of ours with several locations around the city, including one inside the airport at Terminal B, which makes it a great option before a flight. Their chilaquiles are classic, but they also have other classic and not so classic breakfast options as well.

On Sunday mornings until 1 pm, Calzada del Valle closes to cars and fills with people walking, running, and biking, along with food, coffee, and local handicrafts. It's a short walk from the recommended hotels and a great way to spend the morning after the wedding.
Hiking & views
An ecological park in the Sierra Madre just above San Pedro, with trails and lookout points over the whole city. Go early, as the mornings are cooler and clearer.
Urban park
A huge park built on the grounds of a former steel foundry, with the original industrial structures still standing. Good for a long walk or a bike ride, and connected to downtown Monterrey by the Paseo Santa Lucía waterway.
Contemporary art
The Museum of Contemporary Art in downtown Monterrey next to the main square and the cathedral. Worth going for the rotating exhibitions and the building itself.
